St Elizabeth Tribute Funds

Our Tribute Garden is a special place where you can create a lasting tribute for your loved one to celebrate their life. The tribute allows friends and family of that person to commemorate their memory and the impact they made in a very personal way and all donations received in memory will go directly towards the care of our patients and their families.

David Whitlock

1945 - 2012

In remembrance of David, the most wonderful person who had a heart of gold and a smile to match. He is greatly missed by his wife - Valerie, family, friends and colleagues.
Alice Knott is much loved and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Kim Hembry is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family.

Pamela Whiting (Pam)

1953 - 2013

This is in memory of Pamela Whiting, wife to Richard and mum to Rebecca, Emma and Stewart. Pam was very much a family person and her whole life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She was very much at home in her house and garden and even when she became too ill to move around she still liked to watch the birds in her garden.
Memories are very special and may this be a lasting one to a much loved Mum and Dad who were never meant to be apart for long. May u both be singing in a heavenly choir. Dad died suddenly June 2010 from a heart attack. This year Mum had a week at St Elizabeth Hospice where she smiled again and laughed with Ray during music therapy.
Maureen Sillett is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family.
Lindsay Spendlove is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family.
Supporting St Elizabeth Hospice in memory of Raymond
This trust fund is created in the memory of Pauline Martin Pauline came from a large family and had 4 sisters and 2 Brothers. Pauline had 2 daughters Alex & Nicky and a large circle of friends. Until her diagnosis 2 years ago Pauline lived in Cyprus. She loved the way of life in Cyprus and made many new friends here.
Patricia was a wonderful wife, mother, grand-mother, sister and friend. She died earlier this year and is greatly missed by all who knew her. We have set up this fund to raise money for the St Elizabeth Hospice in recognition of the excellent care Patricia received whilst she was there.

Jon Anderson

1943 - 2014

Jon Anderson was known to so many - as a business colleague, sportsman, and above all as a kind, generous friend and beloved family member. This fund was set up to honour his memory and to help support the institution that made his passing so very peaceful. Jon Anderson had a rich and happy life.
Make a tribute as per Jenny's wishes to St Elizabeth Hospice. It is with great sadness that after a long fight with cancer Jenny passed away on Friday 9th August. On this day, we all lost an amazing woman who impacted each of us in her own special way.

Philip Barnes

1936 - 2013

In loving memory of Philip Barnes who was called home to be with the Lord on 16th November 2013. Dear Philip will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him. With great memories of a gentle and caring man who always put the needs of others before his own. It is therefore fitting that this tribute fund has been set up in his memory.
After a year-long battle with cancer, Ann passed away peacefully at St Elizabeth Hospice on 7th January 2013 with her loved ones at her side. Ann was a truly special person who will be greatly missed by Bob, Matt and all her family, friends, colleagues and the community in which she lived in and loved..

Frank Prendergast

1948 - 2013

"Frank was a man of many parts. Those who knew the quiet, shy, patient and loving family man were always flabbergasted to see him on stage – quite a different persona – a sweating, gyrating, cigar smoking, hoochy-coochie man. Then there was the racing man. Racing day with his mates always started early – the buzz already kicking in.
Truly inspirational lady. Mum, mummy, grandma, G.G., Irene Victoria Maud Barton born July 1914 in North London. She always joked that she was the cause of the outbreak of the 1st world war. The only child of our dear grandma Lily Francome mum had an eventful childhood with frequent house moves and a 2 year stay in India which she loved.

Stuart Hague

1935 - 2012

Stuart died on 12th March 2012 from Motor Neurone Disease. He was the gentlest and kindest of men and I was fortunate to share his life for 30 years. Although this is a terrible illness, he met all its challenges with patience and good humour.
Susan died at her new home in Felixstowe on 27 October 2012 and is sorely missed by all her family and friends. During her last weeks when she stayed in Woodbridge and then at Harvest House in Felixstowe, Susan received wonderful care from the MacMillan nurses of St. Elizabeth Hospice.
Nick was the kindest and most gentlest man that ever walked this earth. He was loved by all his family and many friends. He was a big hearted man who always put others before himself. Nick never complained about his illness, he just got on with it. Nick was the kindest and most gentlest man that ever walked this earth.

Roger Llewellyn

1941 - 2012

Roger was born and lived most his life in Weston Super Mare, in 2006 he moved with his wife, Janet, to Ipswich to be near his son and newly born grandson. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in 2011 and his family were very grateful that he spent the last few days of his life in relative peace at the hospice.
